Blank Calendar

A blank calendar is the calendar grid with no dates: day names across the top and empty boxes underneath, to fill in for any month. Choose a month grid of five or six weeks or a single week, and the day the week starts on. Print it at true size or save a PDF.

0 for blank boxes.

0 for none.

Printing: choose Actual size or 100%, not “Fit to page”, so 1 cm prints as 1 cm. How to check.

How big are the boxes?

Box width = (page width − 2 × margin) ÷ 7. Box height = the height left under the title line and the day names ÷ the number of rows.

Worked example. US Letter landscape is 279.4 × 215.9 mm. With 10 mm margins each box is (279.4 − 20) ÷ 7 = 37.1 mm wide, and six rows under a 23.7 mm heading band make each one 28.7 mm tall.

One print, any month

A blank calendar never goes out of date. Write the month at the top, number the boxes from the right weekday, and it does the job of a dated calendar for any month of any year. Print a stack and you have a year of them for the cost of the paper.

In the classroom

Filling in a blank calendar is a standard early-years lesson: which day the month starts on, how many days it has, how many Mondays there are. Six rows fit every month, so children can work out the layout themselves.

Blank pages in a planner

The Pack Builder can mix blank calendar pages with dated months, weekly pages and lined or dot paper in one print, with a name, date or class line on every page, for US$9.

Questions about blank calendars

Why use a blank calendar instead of a dated one?

Because it works for any month: write the dates in yourself, start on whichever day you need, and reuse the same print for a habit tracker, a rota or a countdown. Teachers use them for calendar practice, where children fill in the dates.

Five rows or six?

Six rows fit every month, whatever day it starts on. Five give bigger boxes and fit most months; a 31-day month that starts on the last or next-to-last day of the week, or a 30-day month that starts on the last, needs the sixth.

Is there a blank weekly calendar?

Yes. Switch “Layout” to a week: seven day boxes with the day names, ruled lines if you want them, and a “Week of ____” line to date it.

Can I start the week on Monday?

Yes. Choose Sunday, Monday or Saturday under “Week starts on” and the day names move to match.

Do I want a dated calendar instead?

The printable calendar fills in the dates and holidays for any month and year, and the weekly calendar does the same for a week.
