School Year Calendar
A school year calendar runs twelve months from the month your school starts, such as August or September, across the two calendar years it spans. Print the whole academic year on one page, a page for each month, or both, with US federal or UK bank holidays marked.

How is the school year counted?
The school year is the starting month and the eleven months after it, so it always ends the month before it began, one calendar year later.
Worked example. A school year from August 2026 runs to July 2027: twelve months across two calendar years, titled 2026–2027. In the US format it holds 11 federal holiday days off.
For teachers, parents and students
A school year calendar is the one calendar a family plans around: the first day, the long weekends, the breaks. On one page it goes on the fridge; as twelve month pages it goes in a binder with space to plan every week of teaching.

Questions about school year calendars
When does the school year start?
Many US schools start in August or early September; schools in England and Wales start in September. Choose the month your school starts in and the calendar runs twelve months from there, titled with the two years it spans.
Can I mark term dates and breaks?
Term dates differ from one district or school to the next, so the calendar leaves them for you to write in. Federal or bank holidays are marked for you, and the month pages have room in every day box.
One page or twelve?
Both work. “The whole year on one page” is for the classroom wall or the front of a binder. “A page for each month” gives room to plan lessons, and “Both” prints the year page first and the twelve months after it.
Is it an academic calendar?
Yes: an academic calendar is a school year calendar under another name. Set the first month to the start of your academic year, such as September for most universities in the UK.
Can I add my class name to every page?
Yes, in the Pack Builder: type the class name in “Header title” and it prints at the top of every page, with the school year, its months and weeks and any lined, grid or dot paper you need.
